Of all Greece’s areas promoted at local level, Romanians prefer Crete, Rhodes, Zakynthos, Corfu and Kos. Yet new destinations are starting to gain ground: Lefkada, Parga, Skiathos and Kamena Vourla, announced Christian Tour in a press release.
The operator of charter holidays also pointed out that last year’s absolute star was Thassos and it seems that this trend will continue also in 2015.
Although the average price of a holiday in Greece has declined compared to 2014, the cost for a stay is lower primarily due to the Early Booking discounts, still valid until the end of April or, at most, by mid-May.
“The discounts rates applied in the Early Booking period can be higher than last year. Perhaps that’s why in 2015 Romanian tourists bought more holidays and much earlier than in 2014. At the same time, they observed and take advantage of the benefits of group travels. Until this year, the group demands received were usually related to two to three families who were not fitting a necessary minimum for group offers, but for 2015 we started to receive demands for groups from 15 to 250 people. It is worth noting that Greece amateur Romanian tourists learn something new every year and every year they ask for a different destination or for other hotels,” said Marius Pandel, CEO Christian Tour.
Christian Tour offers holidays at prices from EUR 19 / person / 7 night stay in a villa SC (individual transport) and no meal included to EUR 1099 / person / 7 night stay All Inclusive in a five star hotel (including transport by plane). An average price for a holiday in Greece with meals and air transport included can be about EUR 500 / person.
