Romanian company, on Apple’s list of “developers to watch in 2014”

Romanian company Atypical Games is on Apple’s list of “developers to watch in 2014,” along with a few other foreign companies: Duolingo from the United States, Simogo from Sweden, Frogmind from the UK, Plain Vanilla Corp from Iceland, Lemonista from China, BASE from Japan and Savage Interactive from Australia, according to a press release from Apple.

Atypical Games is a game producer with the office in Mountain View, California. The games in the company’s portfolio are Battle Supremacy, Sky Gamblers: Cold War, Sky Gamblers: Cold Raiders.

The CEO of the company is Andrei Lopata, who owns Revo Solutions, the company that controls Atypical Games.

According to the company’s website, Revo Solutions’ game development team was created in 2008, mostly due to the iPhone growing hype.

Revo Solutions’ QA department was created in 2005 and it provides assurance testing services for the gaming industry, including consultancy, pre-certification & compliance, on-site staff placement, and functionality testing for consoles, iPhone and PC.

Global customers spent over USD 10 billion on the App Store in 2013, including over USD 1 billion in December alone. App Store customers downloaded almost three billion apps in December making it the most successful month in App Store history.

Apple’s developers have now earned USD 15 billion on the App Store.
