Romania’s FAN Courier, the courier service provider, has ramped up its car fleet ahead of Black Friday, which will kick off on November 22.

The company purchased 90 new vehicles, including trucks and trailers, to sustain the estimated spike in demand, employing over 160 people for Black Friday.

“Given that Romanians have joined this movement, thus year we expect a 50-60 percent hike in the volume of delivered freight compared to last year,” said Adrian Mihai, business development manager at FAN Courier.

The firm has increased its storage space in Stefanesti by one third to 8,000 in preparation for Black Friday, which has turned into a business opportunity for local retail players.

FAN Courier was founded in 1998 and has a fleet of 1,650 cars, making deliveries across the country and abroad.
