1.5 million offers in eMAG’s biggest Black Friday, on November 11, 2022

This year, the day with the most discounts of the year is on November 11, and eMAG is preparing the biggest Black Friday that it has organized since it brought the event to Romania, 12 years ago. At a time when Romanians are looking for discounts more than ever, eMAG comes up with 1.5 million offers that it makes available to customers, together with Marketplace partners, at the end of an effort of over 10 months. The value of the discounts that eMAG has prepared on the day with the most discounts of the year amounts to over 360 million lei at the lowest price of the last 30 days.

This year on Black Friday, eMAG will deliver from the logistics center of the future, an investment of more than 43 million euros in robots and state-of-the-art technology worldwide that help employees be more productive. Thus, eMAG keeps the delivery price unchanged, despite the increase in energy and fuel prices.

The offer takes into account the needs of this period of people who, according to a Kantar study, will be looking for small household appliances (39.1%), televisions (33.5%), mobile phones (22.6%) on Black Friday this year ), clothes (22.4%) and refrigerators (20.7%). According to the same study, the budget they plan for this year’s Black Friday shopping is the highest so far, on average 2,500 lei, 13% more than in 2021.

For this year’s edition, eMAG estimates sales of 639 million lei, an increase of 30 million lei compared to last year.

Investments in technology and customer relations

For the day with the most discounts of the year, when website traffic exceeds 12 million visits, eMAG has invested over 4.3 million euros in servers and cloud services as well as in the Dana virtual chatbot, which comes in complementing the customer relations team with the most up-to-date information and faster solutions to the situations that customers encounter.

Black Friday orders ship by November 25th

Also with the help of the easybox infrastructure developed by Sameday, which has reached over 3,600 units, and courier companies, eMAG is ready to ensure the delivery of all orders until November 25. In Bucharest, eMAG estimates that almost 40,000 parcels will arrive at easybox on the evening of Black Friday, on November 11.

On Black Friday, to give customers the opportunity to enjoy offers without worrying about the cost of transport, eMAG offers four vouchers worth 25 lei in the four ecommerce applications, eMAG, Tazz, Fashion Days and Freshful to those who purchase a Genius membership between November 7 and 13. Thus the cost of the subscription for a year is zero.

Customers also have flexible payment solutions and can pay in four installments through their MAG/My Wallet accounts for the products they purchase on Black Friday for one million customers, as well as financing solutions with up to 40 installments without interest through bank cards.
