eMag CEO Iulian Stanciu revealed on Thursday when the company is planning to launch its Black Friday sales this year: November 16 – and it will last only one day.
The largest retailer in Romania in terms of turnover started its Black Friday promotions back in 2011, copying a tradition in the United States aimed at growing pre-Christmas sales.
Stanciu also revealed the reasons why he chose the date. “We want to have enough time to deliver everything by the mini-holiday on November 30-December 1,” he said.
During last year’s Black Friday, eMag had discounts on over 543,000 products of the 2 million listed on its website. At the end of September 2018, the retailer had over 3.15 million products listed.
