Rehabilitated Unirii Square Fountains to open in September

The Unirii Square Fountains, subject to a wide rehabilitation process as of May, will delight Bucharest residents with genuine street shows, starting September.

For this project, German company OASE supplied the equipment and implements a state-of-the-art water entertainment technology, with features unique in Europe, such as “High Speed Vario Master” – a water jet system that moves quickly and instantly transforms the initial vertical jet form into a water chalice.

The works on the central fountain – the main element of the ensemble of 17 fountains located in the center of Bucharest, Unirii area – are part of a wide modernization project focused on the entire ensemble. The project is implemented by Apa Nova Bucharest, as part of an investment program set from its own funds, worth EUR 9 million, carried out by the water and waste water service provider for Bucharest Municipality.
