Siemens Romania takes over software developer in Brasov

Siemens Romania finished the complete takeover of LMS Romania SRL Brasov, local software developer, which will from now on operate under the name Siemens Industry Software SRL. The deal was part of the transaction where Siemens AG took over LMS International (Belgium) at the end of 2012.

Prior to the transactions, LMS Romania was controlled by LMS International.

“Siemens Industry Software strengthens Siemens’ position on the local IT market where we already have over 200 employees. Our research-development centers in Brasov supply engineering and IT services for clients all over the world, operating in different sectors such as industrial, health and energy. We plan to invest and continue to grow in Brasov and other cities in the country”, according to Siemens Romania general director, George Costache.

Siemens Industry Software is part of Siemens PLM Software, which contributes to optimizing the life cycle of products, from design and development to production and service.Siemens Industry Software supplies software, hardware and engineering services for auto, plan and energy equipment producers. Renault, Daimler and Airbus are among their biggest clients.

“In Brasov we have over 80 engineers specialized in software, hardware and mechanics which collaborate with teams in Belgium, Germany, France, USA and Netherlands for developing Siemens PLM products and services”, according to Cristi Irimia, general director for Siemens Industry Software.

In 2013, Siemens Industry Software SRL registered a turnover of 14.62 million RON, a RON 500.000 increase year on year.
