ARIR has a new Board of Directors, with a 2-year term

ARIR (Romanian Investor Relations Association), the promoter of the Investor Relations (IR) concept, announces changes in the composition of the Board of Directors (BoD). ARIR members are among the largest companies in Romania, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, with a common objective of implementing best practices in transparency, investor communication, and corporate governance.

 

Therefore, the new composition of the ARIR Board of Directors, as a result of the vote of the founding and associate members, is as follows:

  • Daniela Șerban, ARIR President, MD VERTIK Group, reelected by the General Assembly, which will continue to coordinate the activities of the Association;
  • Ioan Șumandea, ARIR Vice-President, Banca Transilvania, Head of Corporate Governance and Capital Markets;
  • Liviu Vatavu, ARIR Vice-President, Antibiotice, Head of Legal and Corporate Governance;
  • Monica Ivan, ARIR BoD Member, BRK Financial Group, CEO;
  • Adrian Tănase, ARIR BoD Member, Bucharest Stock Exchange, CEO;
  • Tony Romani, ARIR BoD Member, ARIR Co-Founder, Partner at Invenio Partners.

Daniela Șerban, ARIR President and Co-Founder:

“The ARIR community has grown from 12 members at its setup to nearly 40 in the past 5 years, coagulated in strategic activities: to simplify the regulations, to improve the presentation of listed companies to investors and the capital market, and to recognize the best professionals and companies in investor relations. In this term, we will continue to promote the legislative agenda and the capital market, promote ARIR, and the elite of listed companies.”

Ioan Șumandea, Banca Transilvania, ARIR Vice President:

ARIR is the promoter of the Investor Relations (IR) concept in Romania and believes that by following standards of transparency, corporate governance, and proactivity in communicating with investors, our members will benefit from the added value, attract funding more easily, have the reputation and trust necessary for the continued development of their businesses. The Board of Directors has a term of 2 years, starting in May 2023.

The Romanian Investor Relations Association – ARIR was founded at the initiative of Daniela Serban in November 2018 together with the founding members: Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), ALRO, Electromagnetica, Franklin Templeton Management – Bucharest, Hidroelectrica, Nuclearelectrica, Teraplast, Transelectrica and Tony Romani. The following companies have joined the community: Electrica, OMV Petrom, Antibiotice, Purcari, Idea Bank, BRK Financial Group, Banca Transilvania, Transgaz, MedLife, Romcarbon, Farmaceutica REMEDIA, Autonom, IMPACT Developer & Contractor, One United Properties, Transport Trade Services, Patria Bank, Connections Consult, BRD – Groupe Société Générale, Rompetrol and Agista as Associate Members.  INNOVA Project Consulting, ENVISIA, RTPR, Mazars and Marsh Broker for Insurance – Reinsurance and Dentons became Affiliated Members.

ARIR members are among the largest companies in Romania, which share the objective of implementing best practices of transparency, investor communication and corporate governance.
