The head of Eximbank, the best paid public sector employee in Romania

Traian Halalai, the head and executive member of the Administration Council of Eximbank, is the the best paid public sector employee in Romania, having a monthly gross income of RON 137,585 (over EUR 30,400/month), according to a document published on Wednesday on the Public Consultancy and Civic Dialog Ministry site.

On the second place in the ranking is Radu Gratian Ghetea, the head of Administration Council CEC Bank and the head of the bank, with a monthly gross income of RON 121,424, followed by Andrei Liviu Stamatian, vice-president and executive member of Administration Council CEC Bank, with a monthly gross income of RON 83,832 and Florian Raimund Kubinschi and Paul Ichim, executive members of Administration Council Eximbank, having each a gross income of RON 72,598.

Mihaela Lucica Popa and Gheorghe Carabasan, vice-presidents and executive members of Administration Council CEC Bank receive monthly a gross income of RON 62,075 and Mirela Iovu, vice-president CEC Bank, RON 60,153.

The lowest incomes, between RON 71/month and RON 97/month are received by the representatives of the Ministry of Transports in charge of the hospitals management under the institution supervision.
