- IMF names new team head for Romania German Andrea Schaechter has replaced Dutch Erik de Vrijer as head of the IMF team for Romania. De Vrijer held this position for one year and three months.She will be part of the IMF team that will be in Bucharest this month to negotiate a new stand-by agreement with Romania. She previously served as Deputy Division Chief, Fiscal Policy and Surveillance at the IMF. She also worked as senior economist for the IMF and the European Commission.
