Dr. Wargha Enayati, the founder of Regina Maria clinics group, has taken over Versa Media, a firm providing medical communication and BTL services for an undisclosed sum.
Versa Media is part of the Czech media group Mladá fronta. In Romania, the firm controls several print publications such as Gineco.eu and Medic.ro, and publishes the magazine of the Romanian Society of Pneumology. The firm also manages the online content of print publications gineco.eu and revistaginecologia.ro.
Last year, the company has organized 50 national and regional events, which has 10.000 participants. It has also registered 100 telemarketing campaigns. Versa Media also controls an e-learning platform for medical studies.
Enayati said he plans to turn the company into a hub for doctors, through the development of new products.
The current CEO of Versa Media has been promoted in a management role in Slovakia. He is replaced by Simona Melnic, MD, MBA, who has over 20 years’ worth of experience in the pharma sector.
Last year, Enayati exited Regina Maria, after private equity firm Mid Europa Partners took over the stakes owned by his family and US investment fund Advent International.
Versa Media expects a turnover of EUR 1.5 million this year.
Financial consultancy Vulpoi & Toader Management and law firm Vulpoi & Asociatii assisted the buyer. M&A consultancy Path-Finder Management & Consulting and law firm bpv Grigorescu Stefanica have worked on the seller’s side.
