The first free clinic dedicated to people found in difficult situations has been opened in Bucharest by Regina Maria Foundation. The polyclinic addresses homeless people from Bucharest as well as people who do not have a medical insurance. Its activity will be sustained by private health network Regina Maria, the Bucharest City Hall and the General City Council of Bucharest through the general Direction of Social Assistance.

In Bucharest, there are over 2,400 declared homeless people and around 100,000 do not benefit of medical insurance, according to information issued by Regina Maria.

The polyclinic will function from Monday to Friday between 9.00 and 17.00 and will offer access to the most used medical services: laboratory, internal medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, stomatology, ENT, dermatology, ultrasound and basic surgery. It is located on Dristor Street, 81-88, Sector 3 and will function with the aid of permanent doctors, as well with volunteers. More volunteers are welcomed to join.
