Dacia saw net profits results of RON 448 million in 2015, an increase of 20.43 percent from 2014, according to Liviu Bocsaru, CFO Groupe Renault Romania. The turnover for Dacia also increased, by 1.76 percent compared to 2014, with the company registering a turnover of EUR 4.3 billion (RON 19.165 million).

In 2015, the profit from exploitation was RON 4 million higher than in 2014. “Another explanation of the net results for 2015 is the improvement of the financial result with RON 91 million compared to 2014,” added Bocsaru.

Moreover, exports remained at high levels (90 percent). “Very high exports are, on the one hand, a beneficial thing, because they keep production close to maximum capacity. On the other hand, it’s extremely important that any factory have a strong local market, where it can sell approximately 20 percent of production,” said Bocsaru.

In terms of investments, since 2000 the investments made by Groupe Renault in Romania add up to around EUR 2.4 billion. “We are talking here both about investments into our new products (cars, engines, gear box, etc.), but also about investments in optimizing the production process (social conditions, automation, quality and cost reduction). The biggest part of this sum is, of course, allotted to the Dacia industrial platform,” stated Bocsaru.

In 2015, Groupe Renault Romania had a turnover of EUR 4.7 billion for all the Renault activities undergone in Romania, further said the CFO.
