Spring brings 40 new products in five categories to the portfolio of Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, in a real campaign to delight Romanian consumers with innovation and deliciousness.

Each new product incorporates laborious market research campaigns, testing of different ingredients, recipe modifications, surveys with consumer groups, changes on production and packaging lines, and many other similar operations as complex as the launch of a new car model or a facelift, for example.

Of the 40 new products, 20 are seasonal, from the Kitkat and Smarties categories, in limited Easter editions. From bunnies like KitKat Salted Caramel, the seasonal treat, to chocolate eggs with Smarties chocolates inside, or Egg Hunt boxes, KitKat and Smarties products are perfect to enjoy while enjoying special moments with loved ones.

For coffee lovers, NESCAFÉ 3in1 Black Roast stands out on the shelf with its black and white packaging in a traditionally colour-coded category, and so does its taste. The contrast between the intense and rich flavour of coffee, milk and sugar in NESCAFÉ 3in1 Black Roast could become a favourite combination for consumers across the region.

No fewer than 14 new products will soon be announced under the Maggi brand in probably the most extensive category refresh in Nestlé’s current portfolio. All Maggi products are made from carefully produced and processed vegetables and the packaging is made from paper and can be easily recycled.

In the Infant category, six new products are announced: more GERBER baby fruit smoothies and desserts, wholegrain cereals such as Nestlé Junior Strawberry with a chunky fruit and cereal texture, fortified with iron and 12 vitamins and minerals for harmonious development. Each serving of Nestlé infant and toddler cereal ensures balanced nutrition with every bowl. Nestlé supports the World Health Organization’s recommendation for exclusive breastfeeding up to 6 months and to start using the product from this age in parallel with continued breastfeeding. When diversifying the diet of your little ones, it is mandatory to consult your doctor.

Our furry friends will also be surprised by Nestlé’s novelties under the Purina brand. It’s Purina AdVENTuROS™ Training, dog treats suitable for different times of the day such as training, walks, teething health, and the new Felix Tasty Shreds range, wet cat food with essential Omega 6 fatty acids and the right combination of vitamins to help keep your cat vital and ready for kicks and new adventures!

In total, 20 new products, plus 20 seasonal novelties, have been prepared by Nestlé and you will discover them on the shelves in the coming period.

Another novelty is that in the Europe Zone, to which Romania belongs, 95.2%* of all Nestlé packaging is already designed to be recyclable. By the end of 2023, 82.8%* of the plastic packaging of products destined for the Europe Zone was designed for recycling. Furthermore, as of 2018, Nestlé has reached 32.6% of its target to reduce the use of virgin plastic and replace it with recycled materials. In Europe, Nestlé is working with other industry players to promote Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) schemes and is working with public authorities to improve existing packaging waste systems.
