Nestlé employees donate 2.1 tons of PURINA pet food to shelters in Romania

Nestlé employees in the South Eastern European (SEE) Market have come together to participate in the PURINA “Our Effort, Their Reward” step challenge initiative, resulting in the remarkable collection of 15.7 tons of food for abandoned animals. PURINA® will be donating food to local animal shelters throughout the South-Estern Europe region, with a specific allocation of 2.1 tons of food intended for animal shelters: ”Asociația Big Hearts Society”, Fundația „Ilfov impreuna“, Romanian Dog Sanctuary – Lumea celor care nu cuvântă, Fondazione Save the Dogs and the other animals E.T.S, providing a loving home to abandoned cats and dogs in Romania.

 

The initiative was launched as part of the „Step It Up Challenge“ project, a campaign by PURINA® brand to raise awareness and gather donations for abandoned animals. Since its inception, the initiative has witnessed exceptional dedication and commitment from PURINA® and Nestlé employees, resulting in the significant collection of food for animals in need.

Together, we have provided over 70,000 meals to pets in need, with a 10,000 meals contribution made in May 2024”.

Nestlé and PURINA® remain dedicated to corporate social responsibility and actively support initiatives that are good for planet, people and pets. The company recognizes the importance of providing care and support to abandoned animals, and through collaborations with local animal shelters, aims to improve the quality of their lives.
