In April, Vastint Romania launches #pauzaDeFapteBune – an invitation to solidarity and saving lives through blood donation

On April 17, for the second consecutive year, Vastint Romania, in partnership with the Digi Group (Digi24, Digi FM and ProFM), takes a #pauzaDeFapteBune and unite for a noble cause. They invite you to be a part of this initiative on a coffee break. Choose to give blood and save lives!

Last year, Vastint Romania was the first private company to join the national civil awareness campaign initiated by Digi24, called “Avem acelasi sânge/ We have the same blood”.

Join on April 17 at Business Garden Bucharest, the new location to which part of the Bucharest Blood Transfusion Centre will move. Let’s take a ”good deed break” together! Join the 8-hour marathon for life, hope and saving those admitted to the intensive care unit. Together we can bring some light to those in need on these Easter holidays.

This year, Vastint Romania aims once again to attract as many donors as possible who want to donate part of their blood for the survival of those less fortunate. The need for blood is huge and every donation is crucial for supporting hospitals and those who need transfusions.

Mid-April, two weeks before the Easter holidays, Vastint Romania, together with the Digi Group, issues an invitation to all their collaborators and employees in the office buildings to be more generous and to donate blood.

”We are happy to announce the second edition of the We have the same blood campaign organised as part of the Business Garden Bucharest project. Following the success of the campaign of December last year and the positive reaction of the Business Garden community, we’ve concluded that it mustn’t remain a singular event, but rather a pilot one”, says Sorin Macovei, Commercial Manager at Vastint Romania. “Therefore, we want to continue our partnership with the Digi Group and set up a new blood donation campaign this month. In fact, we can do more than that, so as part of the #pauzaDeFapteBune, we will issue an invitation to the Business Garden Bucharest community to be an active part of a series of projects and events that will have a positive impact on the society. We cordially invite them to join us on April 17 as well, in this new endeavour, at the same location as last year.”

Take your good deed break

Join and save 3 lives on a coffee break. Believe in the power of good deeds and donate blood, because this is the only medicine that can’t be bought. Today, donating blood is an essential gesture for saving lives. Cancelling surgeries for lack of blood is no longer necessary, and lives no longer have to be at risk due to insufficient blood stocks in hospitals.

Last year, Vastint Romania joined the Digi Group on its blood donation campaign and expressed its desire to contribute to changing mentalities and offering valuable support. The commitment continues this year as well.

Be kinder and more generous

„We have the same blood” is the amplest and most ambitious national project conducted by a news channel for the benefit of patients. The project belonging to the Digi24 news station started on December 1, 2022, and so far managed to mobilize 5000 donors in 19 counties.

This year, so close to Easter, they urge you to be generous and give life. Donating blood brings not only moral benefits, but also ones that are extremely useful in the day to day life. As of this year, the value of the donation vouchers has increased to 280 lei. In addition, donors get a day off from work and a discount on public transportation. Plus, you’ll enjoy a free set of blood tests.

In addition to all these advantages, donating blood is also beneficial to your health. One donor can save 3 lives by donating 450 ml of blood. This process is carried out by specialised medical personnel, which guarantees regular medical checkups and an improvement of your general health.

Who can be a donor? Anyone who is over 18 and weighs at least 50 kilograms. You must be under 60 and not be suffering from any chronic conditions and you also mustn’t have undergone any surgeries during the last 6 months. This is an opportunity for anyone who wishes to give a special gift during these holidays and to bring a smile on the faces of those in need.
