Kaufland Romania plans to create 1.000 new jobs across the whole country by the fiscal year-end, in February 2021. The new available roles come as a result of new store openings as well as the actual teams extension. The company currently has over 15.000 employees and holds the Romanian „Top Employer” certification for the fifth consecutive year and also the European „Top Employer” certification for the second year in a row.

We are glad to be appreciated by Romanians all over the country and we will continue to provide them with the much needed stability by offering 1.000 new jobs in the communities we will continue to grow”, says Estera Anghelescu, Recruiting and Employer Branding Director, Kaufland Romania.

Moreover, also regarding human resources and the company’s inclusion and diversity strategy, one of our most important goals is to develop the ACCES program, dedicated to the integration of people with disabilities. This program was launched at the end of 2019 with the aim of offering equal opportunities to everyone, from a social and professional point of view, to improve life quality and to facilitate development. Thus, our plan is to expand the team by employing over 500 people with disabilities together with whom we will achieve our objective to be socially, economically and environmentally responsible. The candidates who are interested in applying for a role are invited to contact us on our official e-mail address: cariere@kaufland.ro”, Estera adds.

The job offer expansion also comes as a response of the growing interest displayed by potential candidates for Kaufland as an employer. The company message for current and future employees is that in a performant team, every role is essential, highlighting collaboration and promoting a success-oriented mindset.

Kaufland Romania is the leader of the local retail market, the fourth company in Romania taking into account its turnover, but also one of the biggest employers in the private sector, according to the most recent study which analyses the financial data, company investments and the social impact on the local economy in 2019. The study confirms that in 2019, through the company’s activity, an estimated 461,7 million euros direct added value in Romania were generated, 12.500 full-time jobs were made available and almost 48.000 roles within the Romanian economy space were supported due to the activity, investments and competitive salaries offered.

Kaufland continued to remain close to its current employees, but also to the candidates, even during the pandemic, a period when the communication efforts have been intensified. A suggestive example is the eight episode series called “Step by Step towards Performance” (RO: “Pas cu Pas către Performanță”), featuring Cristina Neagu as an ambassador. Taking into account the experience Cristina, designated four times the best handball player in the world and a national performance model, has acquired during her career, a video series including Cristina’s advice on overcoming obstacles and the necessary steps that one must always follow in order to achieve high performance were launched. The initiative represents a source of inspiration for everyone to remain focused on the daily basis work and comes to reinforce the idea that everyone in the team, no matter which their role is, the level of seniority they reached or the department they are working in, is essential and bears the merit of being part of the Romanian retail market leader.

We have intensively communicated in the last year, especially due to the association with the handball player Cristina Neagu, who shares Kaufland values: performance, dynamism and fairness. The latest collaboration, the Step by Step towards Performance (RO: “Pas cu Pas către Performanță”), sums up the experiences and Cristina’s advice, who talks about generally needed elements for any road to success, no matter which field of work we are talking about. The episodes refer to teamwork, competitive spirit, leadership and other essential aspects that define success”, Estera continues.

I am glad to have been able to collaborate with a company that encourages step by step performance, with patience and perseverance, as it happened in my case. Actually, the common way of thinking brought us together. I spoke about interesting subjects during the campaign and I hope my experiences will encourage people who work in any field. In the end, no matter which your position is, you can only achieve your goals if you work with dedication, passion and professionalism”, Cristina Neagu completes.
