Catalin Roman, Senior Associate, Employment & Pensions Practice Coordinator at Noerr, will be a speaker in the opening All-Star Panel at BR’s upcoming Working Romania HR Conference. Roman will explore subjects such as remote work, flexible working hours, work related harassment, employment contracts during extreme situations, and more, all through the keen eye of a legal expert.

Catalin Roman is an experienced Attorney At Law with a demonstrated history of working in the law practice industry. Skilled in Employment Law, Litigation, Negotiation, Legal Assistance, Civil and Corporate Law, and Competition Law, Roman is sure to provide deep insights into all the legal matters brought forward by the current pandemic context. Roman, who holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Bucharest, has been with Noerr since March 2017.

“Taking into consideration the current context, the robotization of the recruitment process would be beneficial, due to the speed in which hiring interviews can be conducted, but also the option of an automated adaptation to each candidate. But the decisional human factor must not be overlooked, based on the collected data, the best decision should be taken.” Catalin Roman said about robot-assisted recruitment process during an exclusive interview with BR.

Talking about adapting to the new context and how working in the professional services has changed in the past few months, Roman said that he didn’t felt this change too much.

“We’re used to keep in touch with our clients by any means, including the tools of remote communication. From my perspective, as a labour law specialist and consultant, it’s business as usual.”

There’s also a silver lining to be found, according to the Noerr representative: closing the technological gap between the older generations and generation Z.

“From my point of view, we’re going through a time in which we all made a big leap forward, we are closing the technological gap between us and generation Z. From a digitalization perspective there’s no longer such a big difference between us and those younger than us.”

Make sure to join up with Catalin Roman and an entire roster of great speakers at BR’s upcoming Working Romania HR Conference, March 30, starting at 14:30. Register for the online event by clicking the banner below:
