Everywhere Romanians Community was officially presented at the Diaspora Estival which takes place this week in Mangalia, organized by the Department for Policies for the Relationship with Romanians Everywhere (DPRRP). The event unfolded in the presence of Minister-delegate for Romanians Everywhere Cristian David, the initiator and supporter of this project backed by the Google+ and Hangouts.

The first virtual meeting was with the leaders of Romanian associations and organisations for Rome, Castellon and Nuremberg and implicitly the inauguration of the virtual community happened on Tuesday afternoon at the workshop Associativity, moderated by Minister-delegate David, State Secretary Stejarel Olaru and DPRRP Director General Alina Hagima.

According to Agerpres newswire, at successive seminars – ‘Priorities of the relationship with everywhere Romanians,’ and ‘DPRRP action plan’- Diaspora representatives reaffirmed the need for the organisations they represent to conduct an efficient identity campaigning, with most of the debates having touched what was called a deficient project funding system and hiatuses in the relationship with the relevant Romanian authorities.

Attending Diaspora Estival are more than 120 representatives of Romanian organisations from abroad, social activists, journalists, literati and opinion leaders from Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Hungary, Austria, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Turkey, Canada, the US, Australia, Cyprus and Israel.
