Carrefour will open on Thursday, at Giurgiu, its fourth Supeco store, after last year the retailer opened three units in Ramnicu Valcea, Slatina and Targoviste, according to a company’s release quoted by Mediafax.
The Supeco concept is a combination of discounter and cash & carry and was originally launched in Spain. The stores have a selling area ranging from 1,500 sqm to 2,000 sqm and focus on fresh products.
The retailer owns 27 Carrefour hypermarkets in Romania, 92 Market supermarkets, 44 Express convenience stores, 9 Contact convenience stores and an online store.
