The registration period in the Continental’s new dual school is approaching

Continental Sibiu, a technology company, along with “Independența” Technological High School and “Energetic” Technical College, are continuing the successful journey of dual vocational education in Sibiu. Currently, more than 130 students are enrolled in the Continental Classes. Now, they are excited to announce the opening of registration for two new Continental Dual Vocational Education Classes.

Continental Sibiu is pleased to announce that for the upcoming academic year of 2023-2024, they are offering 60 fresh openings in the ninth-grade Continental Classes, operating under the dual system. Among these, 30 places are specifically allocated at the “Energetic” Technical College, specializing in Electronic Appliances and Equipment, while the remaining 30 spots are reserved at the Technological High School “Independența,” focusing on Electromechanical Industrial Machinery and Installations.

Students in ninth, tenth, and eleventh grades are provided with the opportunity to engage in practical training sessions at Continental’s Sibiu location. This practical training period spans from five weeks in the ninth grade to eighteen weeks in the tenth and eleventh grades. During this time, students gain hands-on experience in both the production area, equipped with cutting-edge technology and the Technical Training Center. The center comprises three laboratories specifically designed for dual system qualification, aimed at preparing students for their future careers. Upon successful completion of their studies, students have the prospect of joining the company as technicians or operators in the production area. Furthermore, they can pursue further studies and eventually secure employment as engineers. The chance to progress within the company is determined by their performance and dedication.

The registration process for the Continental Classes will occur in two stages. The first stage will take place from July 3 to July 7, while the second stage will be held from July 25 to July 27. Registrations will be accepted at two locations: the Technological High School “Independența” situated at Gladiolelor Street, No. 2, between 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM, and the Technical College “Energetic” located at Electricienilor Street, No. 1, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Last year we inaugurated the first Continental Class of dual vocational education at the „Energetic” Technical College. In the 2023-2024 school year, students can register in the new Continental class, specializing in „Electronics Appliances and Equipment”. Since 2018, Continental Sibiu has been actively involved in promoting and developing dual vocational education, observing from year to year how interest in these classes increases. Currently, the company offers students scholarships, transport and accommodations, subeventionat the canteen in the location, school prizes worth over 130,000 EUR/year and in addition continues to invest in the modernization of laboratories and classrooms, as well as in the Technical Training Center on site dedicated to the development of pupils’ practical skills.

„Our involvement in the dual vocational education system has always been a priority to us, as it offers the chance for students to consolidate their practical knowledge in a real work environment. Also, this type of education has many advantages for the pupils of our school, definitely giving them a chance to learn practical things and to work with the largest employers in Sibiu.
