Over 160 pupils started school in Continental classes, at the “Independența” High School and Energetic Technical College in Sibiu

More than 160 students started their courses in six Continental classes of dual vocational education, four at the “Independența” High School and two at the Energetic Technical College in Sibiu. 60 of them start ninth grade and will qualify in the field of Electronics and Equipment or Electromechanical Industrial Machinery and Installations in two new Continental Classes.

Students have the opportunity to do their practice (from 5 weeks in ninth grade to 18 weeks in tenth and eleventh grades) at the Continental location in Sibiu, both in the production area with the latest technology available and in the Continental Technical Training Center, consisting of three laboratories dedicated to dual system qualification, specially designed for the pupils training.

Continental Sibiu has been actively involved in promoting and developing dual vocational education since 2018, observing from year to year how interest in this form of education has increased on the Romanian market.

In addition to the scholarships offered, payment of accommodation in boarding schools of the two high schools, transportation, meal subvention during practice, other school awards, the company ensures that pupils have an environment suitable for learning and practicing, by continuing investments in the modernization of high schools’ laboratories and classrooms, as well as the laboratories in the Continental Technical Training Center, dedicated to the development of practical skills of pupils.

So far, more than 230 students have been part of Continental Sibiu’s Dual School Classes, out of which 101 have already been employed in the location as technicians and operators, and some of them continue their studies, having the chance to become engineers within the company.
