Life Dental Spa has budgeted Investments of more than EUR 2 Million to Open at least 5 New Dental Clinics

Life Dental Spa, one of the most dynamic dental practices chains in Romania, with 10 clinics across the country, specializing in laser treatments, a cutting-edge, pain-free technology, has budgeted investments of more than 2 million euros this year, aimed at opening at least five new dental clinics.

According to Life Dental Spa data, the expansion of the network and the growing appetite of Romanians for treatments performed with a modern technique, used in the United States and in the West, complemented by a medical team of professionals, made Life Dental Spa’s business double from one year to another, and the development plans will continue this year.

“The innovation in the medical field, especially in dentistry, comes precisely from the courage to bring on the market modern solutions, certified and patented in the West, but calibrated on the purchasing power of Romanians. The Life Dental Spa business has grown healthily, organically, we have reached 10 dental clinics equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, with a medical team of over 80 professionals, which has led to accelerated growth and results beyond expectations. The Life Dental Spa team has plans to open at least five new state-of-the-art dental clinics, with several cities across the country on the list.

„We are looking closely at cities such as Ploiesti, Timisoara, Constanta, Targu Mures, Galati, Craiova, Giurgiu, Bacau or Suceava. We are also looking into the possibility of opening in all of these or in new ones, depending on our ability to identify partners to join our business. We are also considering existing locations with medical teams who want to go to the next level and we are open to collaborate with entrepreneurs or intrapreneurs who want to invest, together with us, for a return-on-investment in a very short time”, said Stefan Obreja, investor and co-founder of Life Dental Spa.

According to the Life Dental Spa representative, the investment budget for a partnership location starts at €20,000 for a minority stake in the business and can go up to 49% of the business.

“We have decided that starting this year we will expand across the country and in different forms of partnerships with entrepreneurs, doctors or dental clinics who want to have a guaranteed ROI. Dentistry is a secure business, regardless of a country’s economic situation, political conflicts or a somewhat unfavourable or sensitive context, as it can be in other industries. People need to look after their teeth no matter what is happening outside. It’s an investment with minimal risk of failure”, added Stefan Obreja.

Romania, a medical tourist destination: prices can be 4-5 times more affordable than in the West

According to Life Dental Spa data, prices for dental services in Romania are up to 75% more affordable than in the West, and interest in medical tourism has grown steadily year on year.

“More than two years after the outbreak of the pandemic, medical tourism is again a successful practice in Romania. Prices for a dental implant, for example, start at 400 euros and can go as high as 1,000 euros. By comparison, in both Western Europe and the US, the price of such a procedure is 4 or even 5 times higher. If we are talking about more complex procedures such as prosthetic work, treatment of periodontitis, gum disease or dental surgery, where the fees are also in the order of thousands of euros or dollars, the price difference increases significantly for treatments carried out abroad.
