BeeFast, an ultra-fast courier and tech start-up, is expanding its activity from November 1, starting deliveries in Brașov. For the first month of operation, the company estimates an average of 100 orders per day, and by the end of the year will reach an average of 250-300 orders / day, meaning one third of the number of orders delivered daily in Bucharest-Ilfov. The first 50 BeeFast customers benefit from the development of the online store and the integration of the free delivery solution.

In less than two years since its launch, BeeFast is expanding its delivery area in Brașov, a first step towards national coverage. Orders placed through the platform will be delivered in an average time of 35 minutes, compared to 55 minutes average time in the Bucharest-Ilfov area. Customers who are already integrated in the platform and will be able to make ultra-fast deliveries through BeeFast couriers come from fields such as HoReCa, florists, gift shops, organic products, electronics, etc

The price for each delivery will be unique for the beginning: 15 lei, regardless of the number of kilometres, and customers who will integrate BeeFast in the delivery options will receive a 10% discount for the first three months of the contract.

The company’s portfolio of partners is expanding at an accelerated mode, including because of pandemic, which has opened the appetite for ultra-fast deliveries. We already have more than 10 customers who will be active on the platform starting November 1, but certainly their number will grow rapidly, especially as we approach a period of fire in terms of deliveries – Black Friday and winter holidays. Digitization plays and will play a key role in shortening delivery times and extending last-mile or express delivery services. That is why we offer free development of the online store to the first 50 customers, because we saw in Bucharest-Ilfov how much this migration to online mattered in the development of businesses, said Cristian Grozea, CEO, and co-founder of BeeFast.

For the first month of activity, BeeFast estimates 100 orders/day, but by the end of the year it expects a sustained increase, reaching one third of the average number of daily orders placed in Bucharest – Ilfov.

Extension of the delivery schedule in Bucharest

In October, BeeFast extended its delivery schedule in Bucharest, until midnight, operating between 10.00-24.00. The change came due to increasing demands for second-day deliveries, especially for HoReCa customers, but also for pharma and food products.

In Bucharest, orders registered in the first part of the day (10.00-15.00) currently represent 53% of deliveries, concentrated mainly in the lunch break. The deliveries requested for the second part of the day represent 47%, and the estimates show that the percentages will be similar for the clients from Brașov.

BeeFast, a start-up founded by 4 entrepreneurs at the end of 2019, started as a fast B2B and B2C delivery solution. The recent socio-economic context has determined a new line of business development, towards offering a digital infrastructure with an integrated payment and order delivery system for offline stores.

The range of products that BeeFast currently delivers covers the area of food products – fresh or ultra-fresh – and non-food – documents, gifts, non-standard packaging, IT equipment, products from the fashion, beauty, etc. segment.

BeeFast recently received an investment of 500,000 euros which it directs in the development of the platform and operational optimization. The company is currently focusing its efforts on preparing the business for scaling, at the national level, focusing on the implementation of the latest technologies. The company also aims to triple orders in the next period, but also to expand the courier network, to maintain its promise of fast delivery, regardless of the evolution of orders on the platform.
