Pajo Holding invests EUR 3.5 million in fodder factory

Pajo Holding, owned by the Paraschiv family which holds several other companies from the meat processing industry, will invest EUR 3.5 million in expanding the production capacity of its fodder factory in Valcea county by 40 percent. The money for the project comes from EU funds and the investment must be finalized by October, the company has announced.

Pajo Holding will mainly process cereals produced by the group. April was the best performing month for the factory which produced and sold 7,000 tons of fodder. After the EUR 3.5 million investment will be finalized the factory will increase its production capacity to 100,000 tons of fodder annually. The company’s activity also includes animal raising and trade with live animals.

In addition to Pajo Holding the Paraschiv family also owns the Ana si Cornel, La Provincia and Abatorul de la Ceptura stores (meat retail), Carmistin (meat trading), Ladrisi Group (abbatoir) and Avicarvil (poultry production). The company reported last year a combined turnover of EUR 170 million and employed 2,000 people.
