Agri FinTech Tarfin expands its service portfolio with a new financing solution for small farmers

Tarfin, the regional leader in agricultural financing solutions, announces the launch of a new financing product for small agriculture producers.

The Agri FinTech company entered the local market in 2022 and has built a portfolio of over 150 distribution companies of various sizes in less than a year, its solutions impacting over 39.000 hectares of agricultural land.

The new Tarfin lending solution is digitized, offering the option of payment upon harvest. It is suitable for small agriculture producers who do not have the status of a legal person and work under 20 hectares, active in the horticulture or traditional crops segment, such as wheat, corn, or sunflower.

“Ever since entering the Romanian market, we have focused on understanding the needs of farmers as well as possible. The new financing product launched supports the small farmers and producers that cannot access traditional financing forms, enabling them to easily reach the planned harvests, whether these are vegetables or cereals. We aim to support increasing the social standard in the rural environment, where agriculture is a basic economic activity”, said Adina China Birta, General Manager of Tarfin Romania.

The solution is quick, with farmers having to follow a simple and intuitive registration process exclusively online. Through the distributor from whom they will purchase the products, they upload into the Tarfin platform the copy of the identity document and the producer certificate or the APIA declaration. A great advantage for small producers is that the rates they will pay are seasonal and set according to the farmers’ needs.
