Everything you need to know about Summer Well 2023

Miruna Macsim 07/08/2023 | 18:43

Unforgettable summers come to life at Summer Well – the event that seamlessly blends music, art, culture, and entertainment to offer you an unparalleled experience. The 12th edition of the festival will take place from August 11th to 13th, 2023, at Domeniul Știrbey in Buftea, which will welcome us with a series of surprises, including a newly cleaned lake and estate, along with a new bridge over the lake. Among the eagerly anticipated headliners set to perform live are Florence + The Machine, Röyksopp, Yungblud, and Saint Levant.

This year, Summer Well brings us 4 distinct stages, each with its own unique energy. The Hidden Tracks stage by ING x Visa is dedicated to emerging Romanian artists who have stood out with their unique stage presence and strong personalities, featuring names like Rareș, Paulina, LVX Machina, Iova, Ana Coman, and + SHE + (Corina Sucarov).

The Wiiings stage powered by Red Bull is set to impress us again this year with infectious energy created by the rhythms, lyrics, and rhymes of the rappers we’ll encounter. 070 Shake, Ocean Wisdom, July Jones, Tommy Genesis, and Ayrtn are just a few of the names that will have us dancing.

The surprise of this edition is the perfect blend of genres on the Main Stage. This stage is 50% larger than last year and will host a range of spectacular sounds – from Florence + The Machine’s effervescent indie to Yungblud’s daring punk, and from Saint Levant’s enchanting R&B to the electronic beats of Röyksopp. In addition to these, we’ll also experience live performances by Tom Grennan, SG Lewis, Lime Cordiale, Temples, Yellow Days, Biig Piig, Baby Queen, Cassia, The Aces, and Thus Love.

Naturally, after these live performances, the evening can only conclude with afterparties at the same level of excitement. The dedicated stage will surprise us with the live electronic beats of Kid Francescoli, Acid Arab, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs.

We also aim for this edition to be unforgettable. Therefore, in the following paragraphs, you will find some key information to know before arriving at the festival.

What’s the Deal with Access?

Access to the festival will be through Oltului Street, starting at 2:00 PM (Friday) and 12:00 PM (Saturday and Sunday). The festival gates will close each night at 4:00 AM. We encourage you to arrive early to avoid crowding, especially on Friday.

Another important aspect is accreditation. The accreditation program will run every day from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. After 8:00 PM, no accreditations can be issued (press, partners, guestlist).

Information at Your Fingertips

Available on both the App Store and Google Play, the Summer Well app contains all the necessary information throughout the festival: daily schedule, map, food and drink list, entertainment options, and even the access tickets purchased from summerwell.ro. We recommend enabling “push notifications” to stay updated on the latest news during the festival.

Good to Know About Tickets

  1. Make Sure You Have Your Ticket Handy

The ticket can be presented in electronic or physical format. It’s important that each participant has their own ticket (e.g., not on their companion’s phone).

The Bracelet is the Entry Key

A week before the festival, regular and VIP pass holders can pick up their festival bracelet from Orange Shop Victoriei and Orange Shop Băneasa Shopping City, ING Parklake Mall, and ING Promenada Mall. The bracelets can also be ordered through the Tazz app. To streamline the process, consult the schedule beforehand and have the ticket downloaded on your phone.

Where to Go and What to Do?

The program is divided by days and stages and can be found in the Summer Well mobile app under the lineup section. The mobile app also contains information such as: map, art zones, food and drink options, entertainment options, and useful information (restrooms, first aid zones, etc.).

Online Top-Up Means More Time for Fun

This year, the festival bracelets will have a PIN code on the back. With this code, you can perform online top-ups. Register on summerwell.ro/topup and add the desired amount of money to your bracelet. The money can be withdrawn online back to the bank account from which the transaction was made, starting from August 16, 10:00 AM, until August 20, 11:59 PM. The minimum amount that can be withdrawn online is 20 lei. Amounts lower than this threshold can only be collected at the festival. The banking fee for online refunds to bank accounts in other countries (not in Romania) will be borne by the participant, following the festival’s payment regulations.
