Electric Castle 2024, a highly anticipated festival, successfully concluded at Banffy Domain in Bonțida, attracting a record-breaking 274,000 attendees over the course of its 10th edition. Known for its vibrant atmosphere and eclectic music selection, this year’s festival provided an unforgettable experience for festival-goers, living up to its reputation as one of Romania’s premier music festivals.

The festival kicked off with a warm welcome and hundreds of liters of water distributed for free to keep attendees hydrated as they enjoyed the wide array of activities and performances. From the first day, the festival buzzed with energy, as more than 34,000 participants chose Electric Castle as their prime destination. Despite the heat, which only added to the lively festival ambiance, the attendees danced under both sun and shade, and the evening festivities were extended thanks to timely rain—a nod to the festival’s tradition.

By Thursday, all stages were fully operational, ready to host headliners such as REMA, who brought a fresh energy shortly after the release of his new album HEIS. The Hangar stage was packed from the first night and continued to draw large crowds with performances from heavy metal veterans Cavalera, post-punk band Lebanon Hanover, and Canadian rapper Night Lovell.

The momentum continued into Friday, with the arrival of five trucks loaded with equipment for the Bring Me The Horizon concert, one of the most anticipated shows of the festival. The British band, a favorite among Electric Castle attendees, saw the largest number of mosh pits ever recorded at the festival. The band returned for the third time, celebrating a new album and delivering one of the year’s best rock performances.

Saturday, Massive Attack marked their return to the concert circuit and Romania was privileged to host the legendary band. The festival was not just about music; it also included a Comedy Club, EC Talks, and over 60 sports activities available throughout the day.

By the final day, the festival atmosphere was electric, with attendees savoring performances from Subcarpati, Vama, Sevdaliza, and dancehall superstar Sean Paul. The festival closed with a promise of an ongoing legacy, more than just a music festival but a community and an experience that resonates with people long after the event concludes.

Reflecting on the success, Tudor Costina, Communication Director at Electric Castle, expressed gratitude to all the artists who made tremendous efforts to perform despite logistical challenges, including long delays at airports, and to the partners who made this year’s edition particularly special. The sale of limited early bird tickets for Electric Castle 2025 has already begun, starting at 89 Euros, with an option for attendees to reserve their ticket by paying in installments, starting with just 35 Euros.
