Bucharest Tech Week opens its doors next week – The capital becomes the epicenter of technology and innovation

Bucharest Tech Week, the largest technology and innovation festival in Central and Eastern Europe, will take place this year from June 10 to June 16. The five specialized conferences on significant tech industries will occur from Monday to Friday at the NORD Events Center by Globalworth, bringing international experts in front of the audience, who will offer over 30 hours of high-quality content. The technology week will conclude with the largest technology and innovation exhibition in Central and Eastern Europe, free for the general public. The Tech Expo will take place on the weekend of June 14-16, at Romexpo Pavilion B1.

 

The official opening of Bucharest Tech Week will take place on Monday, June 10, at 9:30 AM, at the NORD Events Center by Globalworth. The opening ceremony will feature: Mircea Geoană, Deputy Secretary-General of NATO; Florin Spătaru – State Advisor at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet, who will deliver an official message from the Prime Minister; Andrei Niculae – Vice President of the Authority for Digitalization of Romania; Pavel Popescu – Vice President of ANCOM; Florin Popa – Director at Orange Business; Wolfgang Fuerst – Head of Mechanical Engineering at Bosch; Jakub Olek – Head of Public Policy and Government Relations, Central & Eastern Europe at TikTok; and Edward Crețescu – President of ANIS.

This year, the five business summits will bring together over 50 local and international speakers and over 60 partner companies, presenting over 450 dedicated business technology solutions. Thus, attendees will benefit from more than 30 hours of quality content from global and local specialists over the five dedicated days, while also having the opportunity to interact with representatives of partner companies, explore their activation areas, and learn more about the presented technologies. Among the companies participants can meet at the Business Summits are Orange Business, Bosch Engineering Center from Cluj, BCR, TikTok, Picsart, Undelucram.ro, EPAM Romania, and Deloitte Technology Delivery Center.

On the other hand, visitors can attend masterclasses and presentations by some of the most relevant international specialists, including: Dhiraj Mukherjee – co-founder of Shazam and one of the pioneers of modern technology, who will be present as a Star Speaker and will discuss reinventing businesses and building enduring success; Rhonda Fletcher-Leonetti – Global Leadership Experience Manager at HP, who will provide know-how in the direction of transforming human-centered leadership and cultivating an environment where individuals feel valued; Andrea Vena – Chief Climate and Sustainability Officer at the European Space Agency, who will explain the Agency’s objectives and impact in the hi-tech sector; and Nadav Cohen, co-founder of Blink ELP, who will provide information about the latest advances in medical diagnostics and augmented reality, and also demonstrate the Blink ELP ocular technology.

Tech Expo – the largest exhibition with free entry for the general public – between June 14-16, at Romexpo, Pavilion B1

Bucharest Tech Week concludes with the most extensive technology exhibition dedicated to the general public, during the weekend of June 14-16, at Romexpo, Pavilion B1. The official opening of the event will take place on Friday, June 14, at 2:00 PM.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore technology in a space of over 5,500 m2, where they will be greeted by over 70 exhibitors, ready to present their more than 1400 products and solutions, the latest technological innovations on the market.

Among the largest exhibiting companies at the Tech Expo are: Samsung – present with its range of Odyssey monitors and the newly launched Odyssey OLED G6, offering a captivating visual experience and top-notch performance for gaming; LEGO – bringing the excitement of the digital universe into the real world, offering gaming and vehicle enthusiasts the opportunity to interact with impressive LEGO Technic sets; ASUS – present with its range of ASUS ExpertBook business laptops equipped with the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processors, aiming to offer a superior user interaction; and Elec – bringing innovative technologies from the auto world and presenting a unique experience for time spent in transit in the car.

Other companies that will be present with their innovative products include BrainMap – introducing qEEG technology (electroencephalographic mapping), an advanced solution that collects and processes data from over 80,000 points of the human brain, offering precise and deep analyses that can reveal essential information about human brain function; Orcam – presenting assistive reading devices for blind or visually impaired people; Shaw – exhibiting innovative products for pet care, which can be controlled directly from an app; and Shape Robotics – building an interactive lab at the event, offering children the opportunity to learn and have fun simultaneously.

Moreover, the Tech Expo includes a dedicated area for car enthusiasts, who can see the latest models at the exhibition, such as: the new Ford Puma, Ford Kuga, Ford Explores, Mustang Mach-E. Moon Power together with Renovatio will bring Volkswagen ID.7, Tesla will come with Model 3 and Model Y, and from Hyundai, a model of Kona Electric will be present. Alfa Romeo will exhibit the Tonale Hybrid, Jeep will come with an Avenger Electric, and Allview will present Allview CityZEN.
