Bucharest Tech Week brings elite global speakers to the fore at five business summits

During 10 – 14 June, Bucharest Tech Week will host five business summits, each focusing on key areas such as Innovation, HR, Artificial Intelligence, Software Architecture and Java. The events will be hosted, as last year, at NORD Events Center by Globalworth, giving participants the opportunity to interact with international experts and learn about the latest industry trends and practices.

 

The current edition of Bucharest Tech Week brings more than 50 international and local speakers to the audience with over 30 hours of quality content during the five days dedicated to Business Summits. Consisting of masterclasses and interactive thematic sessions, these events offer participants the opportunity to benefit from knowledge and best practice examples from experts or innovators in various fields of activity.

At the Innovation Summit, participants will meet with elite speakers such as Andrea Vena, Chief Climate and Sustainability Officer at the European Space Agency (ESA). With over thirty years of experience in the space sector, Vena will present the European Space Agency’s approach to sustainability and discuss the agency’s strategies and goals for a responsible and sustainable European space sector. Also, Amber Clifford, one of the leading experts in international technology strategy with over 10 years of experience, will give a masterclass on product launch principles and international expansion strategies. Among others, Clifford has launched Uber Eats and Disney+ in over 120 countries.

In The Future Summit: AI, the audience will have the opportunity to meet industry experts such as Tey Bannerman, Partner at McKinsey & Company or Eve Psalti, Senior Director Azure AI at Microsoft. Bannerman will present his perspective on AI implementation, i.e. identifying the intersection between AI and human intentions. On the other hand, Eve Psalti, a leader in tech and business for over 20 years, will give a masterclass on the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and how they are transforming business and everyday life.  

One of the keynote speakers at the HR Masters Summit will be Rhonda Fletcher-Leonetti, Global Leadership Experience Manager at HP. She will explore the transformative potential of  the people-centered leadership and offer insights on creating a work environment that fosters meaningful connections. Also at the same summit, Michelle Raymond, Executive Leadership Coach and Trainer at The People’s Partner, will deliver a masterclass on internal entrepreneurship and strategies for motivating the workforce.

At the Software Architecture Summit, attendees will meet with various technical experts, such as Daniel Hiller, Senior Software Engineer OpenShift Virtualization at Red Hat, who will discuss approaches to eliminating unstable testing in software development, highlighting the importance of maintaining consistency and reliability in feedback loops. Another keynote speaker will be Jorge Fonseca, Global Solutions Architect at AWS, who will present lessons learned from the experience of migrating and modernizing workloads with AWS, giving the audience an in-depth understanding of technical approaches.

The Java Stars Summit will bring industry experts such as Emily Jiang, Java Champion and Liberty Cloud Native Architect at IBM, to the dedicated stage. Jiang will explore all the necessary information about MicroProfile in her session and give a live demonstration on how to run MicroProfile applications as serverless using Open Liberty InstantOn. Also, Álvaro Sánchez-Mariscal, Principal Member Of Technical Staff at Oracle and passionate developer with over 20 years of experience, will cover essential technical topics about using the Micronaut framework to build modular and easily testable JVM applications.

Leading Romanian companies bring innovative solutions to Bucharest Tech Week business summits.

At the same time, the partners present at the Bucharest Tech Week business summits are renowned companies with innovative solutions developed in their industry.

For example, Up MultiBenefits, a company that aims to redefine employee benefits by offering a wide range of flexible options, will be present at the event. Bucharest Tech Week dedicates the weekend 14-16 June to the biggest B2C technology event in Romania, the Tech Expo exhibition, which will take place at Romexpo, Pavilion B1, where technology enthusiasts can see and interact with IT&C products, services, presented by major local and international players in the field.
