Mastercard, in partnership with the Trade and Industry Chamber of Romania (CCIR) and the Body of Expert Accountants and Licensed Accountants in Romania (CECCAR),  launches Master Your Card, the program that supports the Romanian SMEs.

Through the program Master Your Card, Mastercard together with CCIR and CECCAR, offer consultancy for free, within workshops that aim to support the SMEs. The pilot program was developed during October-November in Bucharest, where over 200 entrepreneurs and expert accountants attended. Starting from 2018, Master Your Card program will be expanded at national level, so that also the entrepreneurs outside Bucharest will attend the information sessions that will allow them to choose the best solutions of growing their own business.

Through the workshops held within the Master Your Card program,  Mastercard offers consultancy to SMEs in the context of the law 209/2016 that entered into force from January 1, 2017- the cash back law- that obliges the firm with annual turnovers of over EUR 10,000 to own POS that allows the card payment. The law is at the implementation level and the methodological norms are still in adoption progress by the Government.

„CCIR works together with the business community, and one of the main entrepreneurs’ difficulties is the access to financing and the specific financial products,” said Cristina Mihai, director of Internal Relations Direction, the Trade and Industry Chamber of Romania.
