Telecom operator UPC Romania introduces Internet Fiber Power at download speeds of up to 150 Mbps in four Romanian cities- Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Ploiesti and Timisoara.

Starting next year, the service will be expanded to national level, according to Severina Pascu, CEO of the company (in picture).

The price of a Fiber Power 150 Mbps  subscription is RON 50 per month (VAT included) and the product is also available in predefined packages.

Apart from this, UPC also will launch a new package- Internet Fiber Power 100 Mbps that can be acquired outside from pre-defined packages in the four cities mentioned above for RON 40 (VAT included).

On digital television, UPC will be introducing HD channels in all packages addressing its clients.

”We are going digital. With this new offer, we are giving up analogue television. We have always positioned ourselves towards the digital and as we all know, Romania must also fulfill some European deadlines regarding digital television,” said Pascu.

At the moment, UPC has 17 HD channels. The company has over 40,000 clients of HD TV.

Starting this fall, UPC will be introducing new channels in its offer. These are Viasat Explorer, Viasat Nature, Viasat History, Travel Channel, TV 100, Sundance Channel and Kids TV.
