Regina Maria completes EUR 15 mln hospital lease deal

Regina Maria has recently closed a EUR 15 million deal to lease a 7,000 sqm private hospital in Cluj-Napoca, a press release by the healthcare provider informs.

The hospital, which will be built to suit, is programmed to be finished during the first half of 2017, and will become the network’s fifth hospital. This will be Regia Maria’s largest investment outside Bucharest yet.

The new regional medical center will offer a comprehensive range of medical specialties focused on minimally-invasive laparoscopic including: gynecology, general surgery, pediatric surgery and orthopedics. In addition, the hospital will have a maternity, an imaging center, an integrated medical analysis laboratory, a multi-disciplinary outpatient room and an emergency room.

“The decision to open this medical unit came naturally as a result of our presence in Cluj for 8 years. We feel very good about Transylvania, and for the construction of this hospital we have a strong partner with a strong reputation, Mr. Horia Ciorcila,” stated Fady Chreih, the general director of Regina Maria healthcare network.

The hospital will generate some 300 jobs. Within the first year from opening the unit, the company estimates a flux of over 10,000 patients for the outpatient unit and hospital.

In Cluj the healthcare services provider operates two multidisciplinary clinics, a laboratory, a center specializing in Diabetes, Nutrition and Metabolic Diseases, a Center of Occupational Medicine and a Medical Center for Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation.

The architectural project will be designed by Arhimar Cluj, and the project manager will be the Verbau Cluj.
