The Romanian IT company SIVECO has made public its 2009 report regarding the application of the 10 Principles of the United Nations. The Corporate Social Responsibility report follows the 2008 document and aims to establish the manner in which the company has fulfilled the commitment towards all of its stakeholders.

“The making of the 2009 report regarding sustainable development remains, like in 2008, another pioneering step in the Romanian IT sector. The report reflects and evaluates the manner in which we have fulfilled our commitment to our clients, shareholders, employees, partners and the community. In 2009, too, our implication in projects of social value has been just as consistent , even though it involved a lot more effort than previously, when the economical climate was generally friendlier”, Irina Socol declared, President and General Manager of SIVECO Romania.

The CSR report has 14 chapters and can be accessed online on www.siveco.ro , in the Avout Us section. It describes SIVECO’s involvement in social projects of which the IT section was an important part, such as national and international projects for the computerization of state institutions and private companies, projects on structural funds in research, human resources, medicine and education, among others.

SIVECO dates from 1992 and is the leader of Romanian software companies, focusing on solutions such as EAS (Enterprise Application Suite), Document Management, Business Inteligence, eLearning, eHealth, eGovernment, eAgriculture, eCustoms and eBusiness, both for the Romanian and international market.
