Shaping the Future

The very fact that Business Review has been a major factor in providing international standards to local business journalism is no secret to anyone who has been a witness of the big changes the Romanian media landscape has undergone in the ‘90s.

The big responsibility of a pioneer is to manage the present while visualizing the future. For the past ten years Business Review has covered week by week a business environment in the making, bursting with energy, marked by huge potential which has been materializing year after year into solid companies, a healthy banking system, sophisticated producers and manufacturers. As a weekly magazine BR has been performing its main task – providing its readership accurate information and in depth analysis – while keeping an open eye on the big picture of the international world of business affairs, its rules and regulations, as the final destination for the local business environment.  But the fact that the magazine has kept its prominent profile and its leadership position on a market that has evolved over the past 10 years into a tough competitive one, with strong Romanian language titles covering more and more complex domain, wasn’t easy to predict in the late ‘90s. Business Review is currently a major player in a crowded business journalism segment – an English language title among many Romanian ones. A performance that in my view is a mix of essential high quality ingredients: professionalism, dedication, and the self imposed mission of shaping the future of the business world that it is reporting about.
