Carrefour opens 5 supermarkets in Constanta

French retailer Carrefour has opened 5 new supermarkets in Constanta by rebranding the Murfatlar Aliment stores it has previously taken over.

The stores sell some 4,500 products out of which 1,000 are Carrefour private labels.

French Carrefour operates 24 hypermarkets, 65 supermarkets and 13 proximity stores in Romania.

The retailer announced earlier this month that it will open a 9,700 sqm hypermarket in Bucharest in Q3 2013. The company already runs 8 hypermarkets in the capital.
