CEL.ro, the online store managed by Corsar Online, announced a 30 percent increase in sales in the first half of 2018, recording sales of about EUR 33 million. As a result of these encouraging figures, the company expects that by the end of 2018 it will make sales of around EUR 70 million, thus strengthening its position on the market.

According to data provided by the online retailer, in the first half of 2018, the biggest sales increases were recorded for phones, home appliances and components.

At the same time, in 2018, Corsar Online opened a Marketplace in which over 500 million suppliers were added in the first three months, adding more than 400,000 products to the site, thus expanding the range of products available to customers. As a result, over the first half of 2018, there were over 8,000 orders and sales worth about RON 5 million. The results are promising and illustrate the increased interest of small entrepreneurs in expanding their business to new market segments. Corsar Online predicts that by the end of the year the platform will generate sales of RON 25 million. Increased sales have been recorded for telephone, mobile, fashion, DIY and sporting goods accessories, highlighting the increased customer interest and products outside of the electro-IT range.

In the first half of 2018, CEL.ro recorded pleasing results in the dedicated mobile application, with over 200,000 downloads. The company aims to increase the number of users of the mobile app by expanding the range of products available on the site, which can make it easier to place an order.

By expanding its product range, offering integrated services and constantly adapting to current e-commerce, the company proves to be an important player on the Romanian market. Through the policy of offering low and newer prices by launching the Marketplace, CEL.ro continues to strengthen its market position and actively contribute to the development of Romanian online business.
