GoTech World 2023 gathered over 13,800 visitors, 100 partner companies, and 140 top speakers

GoTech World, the largest IT & Digital expo-conference in Central and Eastern Europe, attracted over 13,800 visitors in this edition, who explored the landscape of innovation and digitalization for two days, dedicated to the regional business community. The event hosted over 100 partner companies presenting their avant-garde solutions, while, concurrently, on the 11 stages, renowned speakers, both international and local, shared their perspectives on future technologies with the audience.

The event retained its successful structure, comprising a large exhibition area and 11 stages that addressed various topics of interest to the public, all under the umbrella of the current edition’s concept – artificial intelligence. Thus, over 1200 digital solutions were presented, suitable for the tech needs of any company, applicable in various areas of interest, and having the potential to revolutionize how those fields operate.

The official opening ceremony of GoTech World featured guests from the authorities, such as Bogdan-Gruia Ivan – Minister of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, Dumitru Alaiba – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization in the Government of the Republic of Moldova, Andrei Niculae – Vice President of the Authority for Digitalization of Romania, Sabin Sărmaș – President of the IT&C Commission within the Government of Romania, Pavel Popescu – Vice President of ANCOM, Florin Popa – Business to Business Director at Orange Business.

Over 140 remarkable speakers were present on the stages of this edition. GoTech World offered visitors over 65 hours of quality content presented by top experts, who interacted with the audience of the 11 dedicated stages: Main Stage, Business Transformation, Retail & E-commerce, Smart City & Mobility, AI, Cybersecurity, Sustainability, DevOps, .NET Stage, Java Stage, Product & UX Design.

The star speaker of this edition was Richard Browning, the inventor of the world’s first propulsion suit, who also performed a live demonstration during the event, for those who wanted to learn how his invention works. Alongside him, big names from the global business environment were present on the GoTech World stages, such as Charlotte Munro – Global Product Marketing GenAI at Booking.com, Rania Toukebri – Spacecrafts design & Project manager at AIRBUS Defence & Space, Antonis Kocheilas – Global CEO of Ogilvy, Simona Rossetti – SVP Europe & Africa Control and Digitalization at Siemens Energy, Guillaume Vergnas – Head of Esport, Gaming and Web3 at Alpine, and Shish Shridhar – Global Lead for Retail with Microsoft for Startup.

The varied topics addressed by experts included the evolution of wearable devices and their increasing intelligence level, innovations in blockchain, Web3, and metaverse, satellite technology, proactive measures to combat data vulnerabilities, analysis of the digital fraud landscape with a special focus on identity theft, assessment of the state of cybersecurity in Romania, and discussions about the CleanTech concept and ways of generating value through sustainable standards.

Over 100 companies presented more than 1200 top technological solutions to the public. Additionally, event participants had the opportunity to see and test cutting-edge tech products and solutions, ranging from gadgets, electric vehicles, smart city solutions, to gaming solutions or cybersecurity solutions.

The main partner of the event, Orange Business, stood out by presenting the latest security solutions, including Threats Exposures Management – a security solution that uses artificial intelligence to scan, assess, and report security vulnerabilities, and the Flexible Engine public cloud solution, through which customers can benefit from IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) and PaaS (Platform as a Service) services.

Likewise, renowned companies from various fields of activity presented participants with cutting-edge technologies, impacting areas such as AI, Cybersecurity, Smart City, IT, Retail, E-commerce, Finance, etc. Among the largest exhibiting companies were: Mercedes-Benz, Dell Technologies, Continental, Systematic, Google, Amazon, Banca Comercială Română, National Association for the Security of Information Systems, Inetum, Magurele Science Park Association, etc.
