BAT Romania launches a new invitation for partnership for sustainability

Based on its commitment to a sustainable business, BAT further develops its BE SUPPLIER program started in 2021, reaching out to commercial partners able to join us in our journey for innovation and sustainability for A Better Tomorrow. The two major directions of the 2024 edition focus on innovative and efficient solutions to reduce waste and enhance circular economy, and solutions to reduce and reuse water.

The interested companies and start-ups are invited to register on the BE SUPPLIER platform starting with March 18^th, 2024. The platform will remain available for registration for 6 weeks. The innovative and sustainable business solutions in waste management and water reduction will be highly appreciated and evaluated by a dedicated BAT team against the business needs and criteria. The selected companies will then be invited to partner with BAT on the journey for A Better Tomorrow™. All registered companies will be considered for future consultations.

Sustainability is front and center of our business | BAT Romania constantly invests in the development of innovative and effective solutions to achieve its sustainability goals. Our factory in Ploiesti, the second largest of the group in European Union and workplace for over 1,000 employees, is AWS certified for sustainable water consumption. The beginning of 2024 registered an extra step in the sustainability journey of our factory in Ploiesti, with the installation of close to 1,000 photovoltaic panels on the roof of the production hall, as part of our commitment for the development of green energy sources.

The company recently published its annual combined business and sustainability performance report for the year 2023, which highlights the progress registered in achieving its sustainability goals*.
