Razvan Mocanu (Orange Romania) takes the stage at Rising Cities. Smart Future

Razvan Mocanu, Manager Digital City & IOT at Orange Romania Communications, will join Business Review’s Rising Cities. Smart Future 2023 as a speaker. This event, hosted at Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca on June 21, at 10 AM, will approach pivotal subjects. Razvan Mocanu will engage in insightful debates focusing on urban development and progress. The two key subjects are transforming cities for a more sustainable environment and resilient communities, and unlocking the full potential of smart cities.

With an experience of more than 15 years in the IT&C area, Răzvan Mocanu is the Manager of the Digital City & IOT department within Orange Romania Communications. He graduated the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, inside the University Politehnica of Bucharest, and comes with an extended expertise acquired within large integrators in Romania, as well as in the area of telecom solution providers. During his career, he was directly involved in the local development of the Smart City concept, commissioning the first pilot projects in large Romanian cities, such as Timișoara and Constanța.

At the Rising Cities. Smart Future conference, Razvan Mocanu will approach crucial topics such as smart technologies, green technologies, and smart energy systems.

“A smart city is an urban development concept integrating technologies and systems to manage a city’s resources efficiently and securely, to improve the quality of citizens’ life, community development, and environmental protection. We believe cities need an open and interoperable platform of intelligent solutions that communicate with each other and allow further development based on collected data.
