Permanent aquarium exhibition in Herastrau Park

Aqua Expo – Aquarium Reef opened its gates at the beginning of the summer in Herestrau Park. The exhibition has two sections: aquarium and reefs and freshwater flora and fauna.

Visitors can see in the Aquarium Reef more than 300 species of fish, 100 species of coral and invertebrates, as well as different aquatic plants in several ecosystems. Sharks such as Carcharinus melanopterus (Black Tip Reef Shark), Triaenodon obesus (White Tip Reef Shark), Heterodontus portusjacksoni (Port Jacksos Shark), moray eels, angel fishes, butterfly fishes, clown fishes, and seahorses can be admired in their natural habitat, which is perfectly reconstructed in this Aqua Expo.

The Freshwater Aquarium section consists of species of fishes from the Amazon river, Malawi Lake and Asian fish species, most of which can be seen in Romania for the first time.

The visiting hours are between 9.00-21.00 and the entrance fees are RON 27 for adults, RON 23 for children, RON 20 for groups.
