ArCub presents Luiza Zan and Peter Sarik concert

Jazz-lovers are welcomed for a 40s musical incursion with Romanian singer Luiza Zan and Hungarian pianist Peter Sarik.

The two artists belong to the generation of creative jazz singers, being recognized for the diversity of interpretations and compositions. Both approach enthusiastically every musical genre – from classical music and traditional rhythms, folk, pop to gospel. Regarding jazz, their exceptional performances were recognized with important international awards. Both are prolific composers with successfully works in theater and film music, and both share the experience and passion for music as performing art teachers.

Luiza Zan likes especially new jazz, being inspired by Billie Holliday, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Dianne Reeves and Nat King Cole. Luiza Zan is also the first vocal jazz professor of the Bucharest University of Music.

Also known as the best Hungarian jazz pianist, Peter Sarik studied the classical genre at the Budapest Liszt Ferenc Music Academy. He performs naturally pop, latino, traditional music and even rock, as being one of the big names in the Euroean jazz industry.

The concert will take place on Wednesday, January 29, from 20.00, at ArCub. Tickets are available at ArCub’s box office.
