Top 5 Office Projects Shaping Bucharest: Globalworth Square by Globalworth

The Business Review team has selected five of the most influential office projects in Bucharest—some already operating, others still under development—that are enhancing the city’s business profile and attracting new companies to the local market.

Globalworth completed Globalworth Square in June 2021 and it has already attracted strong tenant companies to the project, including Wipro, Sameday, and Qualitest. The office project spanning 29,000 sqm has obtained the BREEAM Outstanding accreditation with a score of 99 percent, the third highest in the world.

Globalworth Square is one of the few energy-producing buildings in Romania, with an important part of its energy requirements being provided by the photovoltaic roof. The project also has a geothermal system under the slab foundation, which is capable of considerably reducing the entire building’s cooling and heating costs.

To increase safety, direct contact with surfaces is limited at Globalworth Square through the implementation of touchless solutions with IR-sensors in all restrooms, while access into the building and office spaces is done using Bluetooth and NFC technologies. Additionally, the highest air quality is achieved as a result of air handling units being equipped with built-in humidification and innovative air disinfection, providing germ-free fresh air at the optimum humidity level.
