Valad lets 9718 sqm in Romania this year

Multi-let real estate investment manager Valad has let 9718 sqm in Romania so far this year, the company has announced.In Romania, new lettings and renewals at the A1 Business Park included the Trade Support Group, an archiving specialist, leasing 1,602 sqm for three years, with renewals agreed with Matra, a food distribution company, for five years on 4,272 sqm and Isotek Engineering, a doors and windows manufacturer, on 1,784 sqm. In Domnesti Business Park, a new 2,060 sqm lease was signed with Marelvi, the white goods distributor.

 Across the CEE region Valad has let so far during 2011 more than 70,000 sqm of space with an annualized rental income of approximately EUR 4 million on behalf of the Central European Industrial Fund (“CEIF”). On average, during the first nine months of 2011, Valad completed one letting every two days, across Poland, Romania, Hungary and the Czech Republic.

Highlights in Poland include lettings at City Point Business Park where the courier company, Siódemka, renewed their lease on 5,138 sqm and took a new lease on an additional 1,570 sqm. Other significant renewals were agreed with logistics company, Loxx, on 2,829 sqm and Sack Invent, a glues and adhesives company, on 2,158 sqm. Elsewhere, a new lease was signed on 1,480 sqm at Raszyn Business Park with Hellmann, the international logistics company.

 At Eger Business Park 1, Hungary, Valad let 1,056 sqm of space to Best Kast, the aluminium car component manufacturer, and signed another eight new leases and five lease renewals for a total of 9,503 sqm across Hungary. Meanwhile, in the Czech Republic, ten new leases and five lease renewals have been signed for a total of 3,700 sqm.

Across the CEE region as a whole, Valad manages 22 properties with over 250 tenants from offices in Warsaw, Bucharest, Budapest and Prague.
