Ovidiu Bîrsă is the new Commercial Director of Edenred Romania. From this role, he coordinates the commercial division, which brings together the activities of all departments with a direct impact on the customers relationship. 

 

With 14 years of sales experience, Ovidiu Bîrsă joined the Edenred team in 2010. With an entrepreneurial profile and always oriented towards creative and innovative solutions, Ovidiu has rapidly evolved in various coordination roles in the commercial area, and he has always sought to understand in depth the business of clients and partner merchants. 

“I take on this role with a lot of enthusiasm and confidence, alongside a team I know I can rely on. I have started my professional journey with Edenred 11 years ago and during all this time I have always been motivated by the people around me, colleagues, clients and partners.

Last year marked a lot of premieres for the voucher card market. Edenred has launched the first (and so far the only) partnership with a food delivery platform in Romania (Tazz), the first eco-friendly card and the first chatbot in the industry, which constantly successfully takes over 30% of all user interactions. 

Edenred Romania assumes the role of customer consultant, not only by proposing packages that combine classic tools, such as fixed benefits (for example, meal voucher cards, gift cards, cultural cards or holiday cards), but also by flexible offers available through the Benefit online platform, which is available also in the mobile application version, the first of its kind on the Romanian market.  

With a portfolio of products and services adapted to the current context, Benefit introduced last year, for the first time, a new section for employees, Wellbeing by SanoPass, which includes 5 categories of benefits that they can choose: Fitness, Medical, Mental Health, Telemedicine and Nutrition. 

In Romania, Edenred currently has over 33,000 clients companies and over 1.5 million employees who use the fixed and flexible benefit solutions it offers.
