Oana Buhăescu is the new Associate Partner in the audit department at EY Romania

Oana Buhăescu joins EY Romania as Associate Partner in the audit department. With over 17 years of experience in financial audit, she was involved and coordinated the auditing of financial statements prepared in accordance with national and international financial standards, for an extensive number of companies operating in a wide range of industries, namely retail, FMCG, pharmaceutical, agriculture, production, media, etc.

Also, Oana Buhăescu has been actively involved in projects for the development of the audit profession in Romania within the consultative forums supporting the initiatives of the regulatory bodies in the audit profession as well as in professional training projects.

Within EY Romania, she will support the development of strategic priorities related to the provision of quality audit services, the integration of new standards and regulations in the profession, aimed to contribute to increased quality audits, professional development of the audit teams as well as of the audited companies.

“In the current context of strengthening and expanding audit regulatory requirements at local and international level in order to ensure the safety, transparency and relevance of the information necessary in the decision-making process of companies, we have developed strategic priorities for a quality audit. In her new role, Oana will focus on financial audits and Assurance quality related initiatives”, says Nicolas Sabran, Partner, Assurance Leader, EY Romania.

Oana Buhăescu is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the UK, expert accountant member of the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR), CCF member and member of the Chamber of Financial Auditors of Romania and financial auditor accredited by ASPAAS.
