Marcin Gołębiewski takes new position as head of the Central Europe Country Cluster, UPS

UPS has announced that Marcin Gołębiewski has been appointed as the head of the Central Europe Country Cluster, where he will be responsible for overseeing small package operations and driving business development and strategy throughout this vital region. Based in Warsaw, he will report to Kim Ruymbeke, who has accepted the new position of East EMEAI President.

UPS Central Europe boasts over 2,100 employees and is equipped with 5 world-leading logistics facilities. The facilities are aimed at supporting the Central Europe market, with the Czechia and Slovak Republic leading in the number of internet users buying goods and services online (E-shoppers) at 85 and 84 percent. According to the eCommerce Europe’s latest report, this percentage is 78 percent and 73 percent in Hungary and Poland.

In his previous role as Finance Director in Central Europe, Middle East and Africa, Marcin was focused on driving commercial expansion of UPS, operational improvements increasing UPS competitiveness. He successfully led several projects impacting positively customer satisfaction and having material impact on operations’ optimization.

Marcin will report to Kim Ruymbeke, the new President, East EMEAI. She will oversee the strategic direction of UPS in the Germany & Alps countries, Central Europe, Türkiye, as well as Middle East and Africa. Her leadership will be instrumental in fostering synergy across these diverse regions to ensure continued growth and excellence in service delivery.

A Polish native, Marcin joined UPS in 2004 as an Accounting Supervisor. He then took on various finance roles at the Region, in Poland and in Italy, before serving as Finance Director for both the West and CEMEA Districts.
