Mogo Romania, a company specialising in financing used vehicles and part of the international Eleving Group, announces a change in leadership. Starting this spring, Lucian Prună will take over as General Director.

With nearly 20 years of experience in financial services, both in banking and non-banking financial institutions, Lucian Prună gained extensive expertise from companies such as Banca Transilvania, UniCredit Bank, and Raiffeisen Bank. Throughout his career, the new general director of Mogo Romania has held leadership positions in two non-banking financial institutions, contributing to the development of the companies and their product portfolios in accordance with the regulations of the National Bank of Romania.

“It is an honour to take on the CEO role of Mogo Romania and contribute to its growth in the Romanian market. Our goal for this year is to exceed the threshold of 30 million euros in annual sales and increase the accessibility of our products. Given the dynamism in the lending segment and the used car market, we will focus on developing flexible and accessible financial solutions to meet our clients’ financing and mobility needs at the highest standards,” declares Lucian Prună, the new CEO of Mogo Romania.

The digital component remains a crucial part of the company’s operations, as efforts are focused on developing new products that offer instant approval through a fully online process. The digital platform launched earlier this year, MyMogo, will serve as a space where customers can access a range of personalised financial products.

Part of the Eleving Group, Mogo Romania has been operating in the Romanian market since 2017. Over time, the company has financed the purchase of more than 18,000 vehicles, contributing to increased mobility and accessibility in financing the purchase of second-hand vehicles. In the first half of 2023, the company saw a 7.9% increase in profit compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the Romanian branch secured 10 million euros through ACP Credit at the beginning of the year, marking its first external financing.

The company has established successful partnerships with over 600 authorised auto dealers nationwide, and this number continues to grow. Mogo Romania plans to strengthen these relationships by adapting to each partner’s specific needs.
