EY Romania has announced the arrival of Cristian Carstoiu as the new Partner in their Business Support department. Carstoiu has over 19 years of experience in technology consulting, having focused during the past five years on digital transformation, analytics and customer experience.

In the past 11 years, Carstoiu has worked in the Middle East and Africa, managing a portfolio of local and global clients and being responsible for developing and delivering solutions for banks, retail and public services, especially for municipalities, the transport sector and customs.

Carstoiu also set up and coordinated the Data & Analytics and Customer Experience departments for another Big4 company and built the digital strategy and development department for IBM Middle East.

“The only way to be successful in today’s economy and attract both clients and employees is to efficiently respond to their needs and continuously develop on the technological side. Where to start, what to focus on and how to deliver further – these are the main areas we facilitate for our clients,” says Cristian Carstoiu.

Bogdan Ion, Country Managing Partner at EY Romania, said: “As part of our endeavor to diversify the solutions we offer to our clients, Cristian will contribute to implementing our strategy based on continuous investments in technology and innovation.”

Globally, EY has announced 747 new partners. This represents the biggest growth of partner promotion since 2015, having recorded a 12 percent growth in 2017. EY also continues to accelerate its commitment to gender diversity, as almost 30 percent of the partners promoted in the past three years have been women.
