The German-Romanian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to participate at the sixth edition of Cities of Tomorrow – Romania’s top forum for business, architecture and administration. The event will take place on the February 27 2018, in Bucharest, Marriott Hotel.
Cities of Tomorrow 2018 is dedicated to the urban regeneration as a means towards sustainable development of Romania’s cities/regions and of an attractive business environment for companies and their employees. Successful promoting of a city or region implies the successful cooperation of all stakeholders and is a key factor for efficient development. Top international guests will meet to discuss the topic of reconversion and revitalisation of cities and regions.
During the central panel, we will debate what the revitalisation of a city means, together with Dr. Georg Pammer, General Manager Aspern Smart City Research, Dr. Marcel Heroiu, Senior Urban Development Specialist World Bank, and our panellists: moderator Arch. Hildegard Brandl, mayor Emil Boc, mayor Ioan Popa, Tatian Diaconu, Christian von Albrichsfeld and Arch. Eugen Panescu.
At the event you will have the opportunity to participate in one of the eight round tables during the second part of the day, which approach relevant topics for the development of regions and cities.
The discussions that will take place are interactive exchange of ideas and experiences, moderated and co-moderated by experts in each field and representatives of the local authorities. The debates will generate a few viable solutions, which could lead to a short- or medium-term improvement of the current situation in each of the discussion areas.
